For me, the tin shortsword has no real reason to exist
You start with a copper shortsword, his equivalent, which does less damage, true, but most of the time you will craft a wooden sword or cactus one if you want a very early upgrade.
The copper shortsword at least is used for Zenith but the tin one does not work. If you spawn in a tin world and for some reason you trash your copper shortsword, congrats, you can't make the Zenith anymore lol
(And tbh most shortswords suck, for me at least)
