What is Minecraft's best update? — QOTD
#1
I think it's 1.14. They added domesticated cats, barrel blocks, campfires, etc. All amazing blocks for building designs and gave villagers job. This update is why we have trading halls and focus much more on villagers now.

What do you think?

For me it was 1.16 with the nether update, it added so much content and new stuff that Minecraft REALLY needed.
Because of that update I guess people are looking forward to a potential End Update.

I think it's 1.6.1. They added a bunch of things like horses, leads, carpets, coal blocks, clay and then stained terracotta. It added a lot of different colored blocks to use in builds and leads are used for ropes in detailing. Even though horses don't really serve a purpose because they kind of suck for transport ever since elytra were added. It's a very atmospheric update and as a horse fan I always appreciate them adding it.

Coal blocks are also a great way to consolidate the coal people mine up instead of having to have a bunch of stacks of loose coal in 64.
- please talk to me about my original character  Cool

i don't play vanilla so my view would be skewed but it would have to be 1.12 and 1.20 as those are the best versios for modding currently, even 1.12 still to this day.

if i had to pick a vanilla version however it would probs be the adventure update beta 1.8 as it changed so many things about the game and begun its evolution into the game it is today, although the hunger system and change to food may have soured the experience for many including myself at times.
